Thomas possesses over a decade of financial and strategic advisory experience with high net-worth and institutional clients, ranging from start-ups to multi-national corporations. As a member of the Quantum Reach (QR) team, he seeks to deliver high-quality advice and process execution focused on driving innovation and growth acceleration. In addition to QR, Thomas is founder and Managing Partner of Davenport Capital Management (DCM), a merchant bank with offices in Chicago and New York.

 

Prior to founding DCM, Thomas was an investment banker at William Blair & Company in the Mergers & Acquisitions and Industrials groups. Prior to joining William Blair, Thomas was an investment banker at Citigroup in Chicago and New York. Thomas has advised numerous companies on M&A and capital raising assignments and has led teams in business and financial due diligence, deal structuring and contract negotiations. Notably, Thomas advised on the §363 sale of National Envelope Corporation to The Gores Group, which was recognized as the Turnaround Management Association’s (Chicago/Midwest) “2010 Large Transaction of the Year” and was honored as a “Rising Dealmaker” by the National Association of Investment Companies.

 

In the community, Thomas serves on the Board of Directors for Aspire of Illinois a non-profit serving people with developmental disabilities, and Sue Duncan Children’s Center, a non-profit educational center serving youth on Chicago’s Southside. Thomas holds an MBA in Accounting and Finance from The University of Chicago, an MPA in Management from Baruch College and a BA in Finance from Morehouse College.
